This was a song that came to me late one night, and that I wrote in as long as time it took to sing it. Figured I would capture it, let you listen to it (not download yet) and then work out whether it's any good or not. Perhaps I'll fix it, perhaps not. Let me know what you think.
lyrics
They charge you to own a vehicle
They charge you to park by the sea
They even charge to buy that machine
That's beeps when you use the street
Everybody's paying
I don't know what we're paying for
They'll just keep on charging till we're poor
Will they charge us to go out walking
even though they don't own the st
I'm sure they'll soon be charging us
for the oxygen we breathe.
Everybody's paying
I don't know what we're paying for
They'll just keep on charging till we're poor
They charge you more than a gold coin
For the juice from the sky
They even charge your family
when a loved one's life expires.
Everybody's paying
I don't know what we're paying for
They'll just keep on charging till we're poor
They charge us to own a puppy dog
and well what do we get for that?
And if that dog goes wandering
well they'll charge you to give him back.
Everybody's paying
I don't know what we're paying for
They'll just keep on charging till we're poor
